Peace on Earth?

Israel wants a peacekeeping force on the Lebanese border (a more effective one than the 2000 UN troops that have been there), but there are no countries willing to commit forces because they might irritate Hizballah. The Hizballah forces hide and operate among civilians which leads to many civilian deaths. What's wrong with the ''International Community'' that can't commit forces for peace?

''Effective'' is too kind a word for the pathetic UN forces in southern Lebanon, that have done nothing but waste the resources of that institution for the past 30 years.

A strong multi-national force, consisting of elements from outside the Arab sphere, should be posted there. It should consist of army units with combat experience, because they will be fighting Hizbollah, unless Israel can successfully destroy them as an effective fighting force.

Its not about irritating Hizballah. No one wants to commit their countries because if you really look at it, it's a war of religions.
placing foreign soldiers in an area to keep the peace is redundant.
No one can pull their heads out of their *** long enough to have world peace. Prides cost alot to maintain now of days. One can only hope there is a god and pray for peace and for the governments to expire.
there is no peace. and u seem quite naive. come keep my scarecrows company for a while. they are bored....

no peace keeping force is without an agenda of their own. history should teach u a lesson on this, or do you not comprehend this?

and this defeats any means of achieving anything...
Peace nevers works. the UN is clearly an organisation that does nothing. This is very clear by their lack of help in the middle east and Africa (especailly Darfar). THe UN just want to help out their socialist buddies.
