If every time there is a tragedy, the politicians and media work together to make sure that the government expands, civil liberties are taken away, taxes are raised, and new government agencies are created, we would end up living in a total communist police state society in 20 years. That is in fact what is happening now. Politicians and big media are exploiting every tragedy for profit and power.
WE HAVE REMAINED A FREE CAPITALIST NATION FOR OVER 200 YEARS, AND I THINK WE CAN DO WITHOUT ALL OF THE GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRACIES AND POLICE STATE POLICIES THAT ARE CREATED EVERY TIME THERE IS A TRADGEDY.
We don't need more taxes (especially the middle class). We just need to make sure the government spends the money they already get from us ON THE RIGHT THINGS, instead of wasting it on imperialist wars (12 BILLION a MONTH FOR THE IRAQ WAR), and all of the government programs that do very little good for our country.
